How Clint Eastwood Eats To Feel Good at 92

Clint Eastwood is one of the most legendary actors in the business. Not only has he been appearing in films since 1955, but he continues to astonish audiences at the age of 92. And many people are wondering how he’s remained healthy and energetic for so long after seeing this amazing performance.

Clint Eastwood has always been well-known for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He was lifting weights since he was very young, according to an article in Muscle & Fitness magazine that said he began working out in “back-alley sweatshops” when he was 19 years old.

In his 80s, Clint Eastwood has remained committed to a healthy lifestyle and what he consumes on a daily basis. While Eastwood’s eating habits assisted him in keeping his health into his 90s, his routines are rather limited and aren’t for everyone. In fact, we would not recommend following such stringent practices in most situations.

He focuses on the amount of body fat he is carrying

In 1991, Eastwood gave an interview to Muscle & Fitness, which is available online at Physical Culture Study. In this discussion with his doctor at the time, Eastwood’s eating and exercise regimen were discussed.

“Based on an underwater weighing analysis, Eastwood’s body fat is less than 10%,” Dr. Harry Demopoulos said. And Eastwood observed, “I’ve never had a lot of body fat, but I’ve always been conscious of what I eat.”

Dr. Demopoulos said, “Eastwood eats a low-fat, high-protein diet. He is also very concerned with his cholesterol levels (his dad, a meat and potatoes kind of guy, died at an early age of heart disease).”

He avoids alcohol and sugar in excess

Eastwood, according to Health Fitness Revolution, avoids sugar whenever he can, which has no doubt aided him in his 90s to maintain such excellent health.

“Stay away from carbohydrates, particularly rich desserts. Keep a bathroom scale on hand. Get plenty of rest. Try to be optimistic. Fruits and raw vegetables are good sources of vitamins. Skip sugary drinks if possible. Avoid alcohol in excess.” advises Eastwood.

He doesn’t really eat for pleasure

We don’t suggest attempting this at home. Scott Eastwood, the son of Clint Eastwood, spoke about his father’s diet while growing up in an interview with Men’s Health magazine.

“My father does not consume meals for pleasure,” says Scott, who notes that his father eats brown rice and salmon for breakfast. “I guess I am the same way. If I had a pill that delivered all the correct minerals so I didn’t have to eat, I would take it in a heart beat.”

This may have worked for the Eastwood family, but it doesn’t imply we should think of food in a different way. Food that is consumed purely for pleasure is perfectly safe. Many of the world’s longest-living individuals credit pleasure and happiness to their longevity. In other words, eat the meals you like!
