How To Reverse Brain Aging Overnight

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. The morning drink (or, for some, an afternoon pick-me-up) is well-known for its caffeine content, which even the most weary eyes can benefit from.

While it makes sense why some individuals who feel overly reliant on a cup of coffee might want to give up drinking coffee despite or perhaps due to their desperate need for the beverage, there are several advantages to drinking coffee on a regular basis.

Coffee may enhance your longevity and ward off disease, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition. It can also improve your general health and energy levels, as well as boost your alertness and mood. Coffee has also been shown to preserve memory function by making it possible for you to learn more effectively throughout the day.

In a recent study released in Nutritional Neuroscience, data was drawn from the Nutrition Examination and National Health Surveys conducted between 2011 and 2014. The findings focused on the link between caffeine consumption and cognitive performance among 827 individuals who were 60 years old or older. Caffeine appears to have a protective effect against cognitive function deterioration over time, according to the research.

“The more coffee is researched, the more health advantages are discovered,” says Dana Ellis Hunnes, who is an assistant professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and top clinical dietitian at UCLA Medical Center.

When it comes to the brain’s benefits beyond caffeine, Dr. Hunnes says that coffee “contains a lot of antioxidants and polyphenols that are anti-inflammatory and may play a role in lowering the incidence of cognitive impairment.”

To detect this sort of beneficial impact, you’ll need to drink the aforementioned amount of coffee. “Most studies on coffee’s benefits suggest three to four cups each day as the best dose,” says Dr. Hunnes. “Nevertheless,” she says, “these are 6-8 ounce coffee cups, not the 20-ounce ventis.” It is also worth noting that “most of the advantages occur when you drink black or with minimal additions coffee.”
