You already know that pure water is the best drink on the planet for better health and for more weight loss.
But one of the ways that water helps weight loss is by helping your appetite. Since the same section of your brain interprets both thirst and hunger signals, it is easy for your brain to get these feelings confused and make you confuse your hunger for thirst.
A new study released in the Annals of Family Medicine found a big connection between inadequate water intake and being overweight, suggesting that better hydration plays a vital role in weight management.
But is there any way to make weight loss happen even faster when drinking water? For this, try some cumin water.
You can make cumin water at home by using dried cumin seeds. The spice, which is filled with antioxidants, has been proven to be good for helping your immune-system and gut health, lowering inflammation, and lowering cancer risk.
Cumin as a fat burner
Cumin has been proven for its fat-loss aid and has been revealed to increase the metabolic rate in people who lose weight. Faster metabolism means your body burns calories faster.
Cumin water also helps in regulating your blood sugar by aiding cells in responding properly to insulin and glucose. When your blood sugar is spiked, more glucose can get stored inside your cells than you require for energy, and it will then be converted to fat.
How to make your own cumin water at home
Cumin water (also known as jeera water) can be drunk hot or cold. To make it:
- Soak one tablespoon of cumin seeds in one or two cups of water overnight. (Some people crush the seeds with a rolling pin to push out their natural oils.)
- When you wake up, boil this mixture for around five minutes.
- Once the water has cooled down, strain your seeds out and pour this over ice or reheat it if you prefer a hot coffee replacement.
Cumin water has a very woody taste. We recommend adding some natural sweetener or even cinnamon to your drink to help the flavor.
