New Survivor Diet Goes Viral With Amazing Results

The reality series “Survivor” has captivated American television audiences since May 2000, with its social maneuvering and physical challenges. One of the most challenging aspects of the game is a lack of food. The “Survivor” diet usually contains whatever the contestants can pick, find, or catch, which isn’t very much in the first place. A long-term diet that is very low in calories may be hazardous to your health if not done carefully. You may create a healthy version of the “Survivor” diet by using a little creativity.

Step 1

It’s really difficult to lose weight if you don’t eat enough, so make sure you consume at least 1,200 calories each day. The contestants on “Survivor” generally don’t eat nearly as much as that, but no one is paying you one million dollars to starve. Diets that are Very-low-calorie are supposed to be done under the supervision of a doctor for shorter periods in order to decrease health issues associated with severe obesity, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.

Step 2

Eat tropical fruits as your primary source of food. Coconuts, pineapples, and bananas have all been seen on “Survivor,” and they are all beneficial to one’s health. Tropical fruits typically include high amounts of potassium, vitamin C, and even calcium.

Step 3

Fill up on rice. “Survivor” winners frequently get rice during the game. Boil 2 cups of water and 1 cup of rice in a saucepan for 10 to 15 mins, until all of the water is absorbed, then cover and simmer at a low temperature for another 10 to 15 mins, until all of the liquid is absorbed. For added taste, add chopped pineapple and shredded coconut.

Step 4

Fish and shellfish should be grilled, broiled, or steamed. According to pediatrician Dr. William Sears, fish is “an excellent source of protein–about 20 grams per 3-ounce serving, which is the same as meat.” Salmon and tuna are high in omega-3 fatty acids, but all fish is also rich in vitamin B12 and iron. For a fast and filling “Survivor” dish, combine flaked cooked fish with your pineapple rice and coconut.

Step 5

Make a splash with some greens. “Survivor” contestants must make do with whatever they can find, but if you would like to lose weight and stay healthy, you need to eat a balanced diet. Many varieties of wild greens may be found, so choose something new and different, such as kale. Wash it well before using it in salads or wraps with fruits, rice, or fish.

Step 6

Keep yourself hydrated. On “Survivor,” it’s customary to boil water, but you don’t have to. Every day, drink at least 32 to 64 ounces of water.

Tip

Treat yourself once a week to something outside the plan, because even “Survivor” contestants get rewards.

Warning

If you’re trying to slim down, maintain a healthy weight or reduce body fat, don’t go on a severely restricted diet for over three days at a time.
