Replace Your Treadmill With This For 1 Month — See What Happens

Feeling a little out of shape after an extended holiday, YouTuber Sven Vee feels like he needs a challenge to kickstart his fitness goals for 2021.

So he got his decades-old stationary bike out of the closet, and gives himself the target of cycling for 2 hours every day for a month, trying to reach a total of 2,000 km by the end of the month.

He does not change his diet during the challenge. Keeping his split of around 30 percent carbs, 40 percent protein and 30 percent fats.

“I did 100 km on the second day, and that was a mistake., says Vee. “I was not used to cycling before this challenge, so something I hadn’t thought about was the affect of sitting for that long. My butt was killing me. My muscles were fatigued after 100 km… I took it easy for the next two days, and from there on, I gradually increased my distance.”

Vee managed to maintain his daily cycling routine but not without problems. “I’m struggling with motivation right now., he said on Day 19. “My legs are very tired. This is the first time since the start of the challenge that I feel like I need more rest.”

Vee pushed extra hard in the final days of his challenge, and finished having cycled a total of 2,500 km. In the end, he shed 2 percent bodyfat.

“I lost around 3 kgs, which isn’t a lot, but is mainly because I didn’t change my diet., he said. “It proves that your diet does have a huge impact on your fitness results.”

His top advice to anyone considering this challenge? Get padded shorts. Your butt will thank you.
