Male ‘Dysfunction’ Numbers Explode — Here’s How To Avoid It

It’s completely normal for your libido to change as you go through life. We can’t be sex-focused forever, or we would never get anything important done.

Commentors on Reddit have been talking about how their sex drive has changed as they get older, prompted by one user who asked the question:

“At what age did you start losing desire in sex or masturbation?”

Among the answers he got were:

AHairyFishsticks: “48 and my penis is no longer making all the choices. Which is great.”

Blitz6969: “I’m almost 30 now, but back when I was 18 I would go 4 times everyday day with my girlfriend, now I’m married and I’m lucky if I get it once a week, and I’m not tired. I do want to, but sometimes sleep just sounds so much better.”

MrColfax: “I was never a complete fapper. I’m 33 and only go once per week, mostly to just keep everything in check. I still feel the desire to have sex, but once you get older it is easier to resist the urge.”

Other users highlighted how mental health issues can change a man’s sex drive.

Talim: “At 47, i believed my libido has lowered because of my age, even went to doctors to get it checked out. Then I discovered it was mostly stress. I made some changes and now it has returned to normal.”

blurryrhombus: “It’s worse when you’re taking antidepressants. I went 7 months without wacking because I had no desire to. I didn’t mind neither because I was single and my mental health improved by a lot.”
